ABOUT THE BAND

Riverland Mas got its name from the 365 energetic rivers of Dominica. We will always portray something pertaining to our country to increase the awareness of the Dominican culture in North American festivals!

Riverland Mas was formed in August 2003 and our first T-shirt band named 'RIVERLAND' realized over 175 registered players.

Since then, Riverland Mas has presented the “TOUR GUIDES OF THE NATURE ISLE” in 2005. “NATURE ISLAND ON FIRE" in 2006, "NATIVES GONE WILD", in 2007 and "WATER" in 2008!

In 2009, we are portraying the beautiful colors of our people in the Nature Isle, hence the name "SHADES OF BLACK!"
